“80% of bugs are found in 20% of the code “ – That was one of the first testing principles which Thong was trained right once he started his testing career at a top outsourcing company in HCMC, Vietnam.

He was simply patient and tried to get closer to testing job where he dug deeply into the big system architecture, platform and technologies used to find major issues and bugs. Time to time, in addition to the knowledge from the school, his up-to-date technologies and knowledge has helped to grow him best in his career path.
“In the last 7+ years, I found myself lucky choosing the right job. Just because testing is a job that helps me to better understand the world!” – shared by Thong.

With 7+ years testing on different domains, playing different roles including Tester, QA lead, Consultant, QA Architect, and with oversea working experiences in Ireland, USA – Thong is confident with challenges in testing nowadays, especially in “Big Data”, “Cloud“ revolution.

Quyen has eight years experience in software testing, mainly in telecommunication and networking products. She started her career as an embedded software engineer in three years after graduation at HCMC University of Technology. "When I applied jobs for first times, I refused all invitation for testing job. I wanted to be a coder since testing is too easy", my thought ten years ago. "But then that is not true today. I have spent eight years for testing and I still have a lot of knowledge to learn and to apply. Testing is always challenging and interesting for me", Quyen shared.
"I started as a test executer and my job was executing test cases designed by some other experienced testers. Then I learned how to define test cases by my self. I read about boundary testing, about table decision and tried to apply these techniques into my job. I worked in many outsourcing projects with many different clients. Clients defined the test plan and my job was following the test plan. And now I own the quality assurance of the whole product where I define the test strategy to make sure the software is released rapidly with high quality. That's my journey with testing from beginning until now", Quyen said. Quyen is eager to join HCMC Software Testing Club where she can meet a lot of people having same passion in testing. She would love to contribute and promote the team cause she strongly believes in benefit of this team for testing community.
