Mr. Viet Hung Nguyen, the interim president of the club, said on behalf of HCMC Software Testing club:
A great software tester should be the person who has an open mind with sensitiveness of what is going on with the product, a detail-oriented mindset as well as curiosity to figure out what goes wrong with the software. As shown by current trends, software testing requires more and more of using automated testing tools & methods. That would ask software testers to work more on technical knowledge and programming skills. And in order for tester to work effectively, he or she will need a right combination of mind-set, soft skills (including communication skill), technical knowledge and skills, and working attitude, to thrive in finding software bugs.
In order to update the latest software testing trends to the audiences, we have invited the keynote speaker, Mr. Paul Holland, coming from several famous Software Testing Conferences in US (including StarEast, CAST…)
In this conference, a cooperation agreement was also signed between HCMC Computer Association (HCA) and HCMC Software Testing Club. This is an effort to bridge the gap between businesses, to create more partnership opportunities between the two parties, and to support the development of Software Testing careers in Vietnam.
